How You'll Help us Connect the World
General Summary:
Responsible for procuring materials (raw materials) from suppliers and/or Intercompany to cover the requirements shown by the MRP and/or expedites made by email
Procure inventory to cover customers sales and have communication with Customer service.
Responsible to inform internal and external customers of rescheduling that may occur by a supplier to estimate what the impact will be on the production and sales lines Request support from Sourcing / Commodity team as necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review MRP to identify shortages materials and proceed to place purchase orders to external suppliers and/or Intercompany.
Provide arrival dates of the materials to the planning department and/or whoever requires it.
Negotiate better dates with suppliers when those provided do not fully cover the demand in the MRP. Maintain close communication with the Planning department to ensure that the flow of materials is adequate and identify if there is any critical material that requires special expediting. Review sales on a daily basis to ensure their arrival at the distribution center on time.
Follow up on your open order report to ensure that they are received on time and/or identify if something does not arrive on time and inform those affected.
Require support from the Commodity Manager when it considers that more specialized monitoring is necessary for suppliers who are not covering demand and/or rescheduling previously committed dates.
Responsible for signing new orders based on dates provided by suppliers.
Responsible for reviewing the exception message report to identify possible sales cancellations, as well as those that have been added.
Monitor and correcting errors in invoices.
Review the ZMRP screen to identify new sales orders in SAP.
Assiste with training in the purchasing area for new buyers
Maintain inventory levels according to the indicated metrics
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Related Area.
• 5 years’ experience in planning area/master scheduling, forecasting.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Tools.
• Proactive.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and influence personnel of various levels and disciplines.
• Proficient in English language up to 80% (written and spoken)
