CommScope is looking to add a Senior Global Operations Manager to join our team

 

How You'll Help Us Connect the World

Directs and implement the supply chain strategy and objectives from a global overview to ensure the achievement of the overall Inside Plant Fiber (ISPF) BU goals. 

Works as a liaison between the regions and the manufacturing Sites and distribution centers, facilitating supply chain activities across the global platform. 

Assists with prioritization of competing objectives between product lines/regions and harmonization within product lines and regions where necessary.

Execution of the long-term operational strategy, including but not limited to Site capacity, capital investment, continuous improvement, supply chain simplification, standardization and cost alignment to support revenue growth, EBITDA optimization and technology lifecycle. 

 

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial or mechanical engineering.
  • 5 years of relevant experience and 1-3 years’ project management or operations leadership experience.
  • Or master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience and 1-3 years’ project management.
  • Or operations leadership experience.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Availability to work in flexible shift.

The primary responsibilities of this position are:

  • Direct partnership with Product Line/Regional leaders allowing plants to focus on core competencies and optimize flexibility without sacrificing competing objectives of different product lines/regions within ISPF.
  • Supports manufacturing site leadership with market and product development activities.
  • Advocate product portfolio roadmap and lifecycle across global supply chains.
  • Optimizes global manufacturing capabilities to meet customer demand and cost targets.
  • Directs and manages critical processes for replication or transferring of product manufacturing, tools and processes globally.
  • Leads and drives supply chain strategy with regards to new product introduction/deployment.
  • Provides senior leadership with the coordination of training, education, and change management activities for the company related to new business processes and systemic tools.  
  • Facilitate best practices for core competencies in manufacturing processes.
  • Directs cost alignment initiatives to support revenue growth and EBITDA optimization, including but not limited to the following:
  • Strategic, targeted product cost down workshops.
  • Make/buy analysis.
  • Blended cost modeling and strategy: in-region Vs cost.
  • Support manufacturing plants with aligning conversion cost and cost per hour.
  • Standard to actual cost analysis with product line managers for future decisions.
  • Manages interplant and supply chain functional team communication/relationships to support vertical integration.
  • Operates as the supply chain/operational workstream leader for major programs.
  • Develops and manages capital programs to support production expansions globally.
