CommScope is looking to add a Manager Senior, Facility to join our team in Juarez City.

 

How You'll Help Us Connect the World

Manage the activities of the departments under their responsibility to ensure the proper operation of equipment and facilities, ensuring maximum production quantity and quality by providing technical support while supporting the company's policies, goals, and objectives. In addition, develop and implement maintenance systems associated with the high performance of the plant organization (Preventive Maintenance, TPM, etc.). Apply engineering techniques to all matters related to building facilities, machinery, and the daily requirements of production areas, in accordance with company direction. Ensure proper planning of work and spare parts to maximize continuity of building and machinery operations, resulting in minimum downtime and optimized operating costs.

 

 

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical).
  • Experience: 5 to 7 years of demonstrated experience in the management and maintenance of manufacturing facilities.
  • Multi-site experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the following systems or processes:

Electrical Systems (medium-voltage substations, low-voltage distribution systems, electrical calculations for low-voltage installations, and electrical equipment design and selection).

  • Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic Systems.
  • Energy-saving techniques.
  • Air compressors.
  • Regulatory Compliances.
  • Construction management.
  • Water treatment systems.
  • Environment compliance.
  • English -Proficient (+80%).

 

Skills Required

  • Communication: Ability to communicate openly and cordially with all levels of the organization.
  • Office: MS Office, AutoCAD, CMMS, and calculation tools.
  • Must be able to work effectively with the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and instruct others in its operation.
  • High level of planning and organization, teamwork, and analytical skills to perform calculations.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the different departments under their responsibility (Building Maintenance, MRO area, TPM, and Housekeeping) and achieve the objectives established by the company.
  • Ensure the continuous operation of the building and related equipment required for normal production operations and auxiliary activities.
  • Lead and communicate the company's direction to direct supervisors in order to achieve established goals.
  • Ensure that staff comply with all safety-related requirements.
  • Lead and execute layout changes, expansions, equipment installations, etc.
  • Monitor costs related to utility consumption and recommend alternatives and program costs to reduce usage.
  • Be responsible for the quality of the product produced as it relates to this function.
  • Have the authority to stop a line, machine, or activity when unsafe conditions exist.
  • Perform safety-related activities as necessary.
  • Continuously review the operation of equipment, the building, and related systems; minimize unplanned downtime; anticipate and resolve problems in a timely manner; and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage and determine the use of external contractors for work that exceeds the capabilities of internal resources or when time is a constraint.
  • Develop capital requirement plans for equipment replacement or building improvements.
  • Develop energy-saving programs or projects.
  • Develop and coordinate projects related to the areas under their management, while also looking beyond these areas as needed.
  • Ensure the availability of manuals, drawings, software, and other technical documentation for plant and production equipment, modifications, and new installations.
  • Be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Ensure that the departments under their responsibility comply with EHS requirements, procedures, and company policies.
  • Participate effectively in the development of CPI.
  • Provide support to operations as Technical Manager and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Demonstrate commitment to the continuous improvement of the EHS management system.
  • Ensure that employees are trained in the functions necessary to implement this Standard.
  • Ensure that roles, responsibilities, and authorities are cascaded throughout the specific organization and that they are understood and accepted as appropriate.
  • Cooperate with EHS to ensure compliance with EHS standards.
