For a new project CommScope is looking to add an Engineer I, Manufacturing to join our team in Bermudez I Plant in Juarez Chih., Mex.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World
Under indirect supervision, it develops projects and maintains processes passionate about optimizing the use of manufacturing resources. Analyzes the conditions and capabilities of their areas and the equipment used in the manufacturing areas. Perform studies of times and movements. Participates in the introduction of new products and transfers from one location to another, as well as in the accurate implementation of engineering changes.
Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related areas.
- 3 years of experience within the manufacturing area
- Experience with personnel under their charge minimum 3 years
- Communication: Ability for cordial communication with all organizational levels
- Must possess excellent oral, written, and presentational skills.
- Develops cost-effective solutions to highly technical complex manufacturing problems that require a high level of creativity.
- Availability of working in different shifts
- English- Proficient (85% written and spoken)
Knowledge in the following:
- Proven experience in projects (process improvement)
- MS Office, Excel advanced, Macros and executive presentations
- Information and data análisis
- Minitab and Statistical Analysis, DOE using DMAIC
- AutoCad, SolidWorks or Draftsight (Layouts), 3D drawings
- Lean Manufacturing Tools (5’s, Manufacturing Cell, Kanban, TPM, Kaizen, Poka Yoke), Project administration
- Time and motion studies
- Line balancing
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate projects to evaluate changes to current processes.
- Implementation of corrective actions for Manufacturing processes.
- Participation in improvement projects of equipment of manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate the implementation of operational excellence projects using “lean Manufacturing” and six sigma techniques.
- Ensure that Manufacturing processes met specifications and Quality requirements according TL9000 and TPR requirements.
- Elaboration of project reports and slides presentations.
- Uses ingenuity and creativity to devise new approaches and develop solutions to complex problems without appreciable direction
