Title:  Coordinator, Quality

General Summary

Handle documentation necessary for ISO 9001 specific Quality Program and data compiling are also required.

 

Assist the QMS Supervisor, Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer, the Quality Auditor and the Quality Department technicians in developing, support processes, and systems that are intended to assure the quality of the product.  Must be flexible in regards to daily tasks, proactive in accomplishing job duties Must conduct specific-job functions with little direct supervision.

Duties & Responsibilities

      • Ensure conformance of the documents of the Quality System to the CommScope corporate standards for such documents by reviewing every document that supports the Quality System and assessing whether that document conforms to the company standard in regards to its formatting, page layout, document layout, and in some cases, content.
      • Provide administrative support in the form of typing, editing, publishing, and distributing the controlled documents of the CommScope Quality Management System for the facility.
      • An above average knowledge and ability using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio is required.
      • coordinating with Human Resources access for new users, loading documents into the software database, data base back-ups, and the maintenance of the facility document approval routings.
      • Initiate, track, follow-through complete the review, revision, and creation efforts for all quality system controlled documents.
      • Ensure that the related documentation is updated as needed and that the related documentation if properly referenced during the creation, revision, and review process.                      
      • Manage and maintain the paper copies of procedure manuals that are accounted for in the document control system.
        • Coordinate and Administer the Corrective and Preventive Action Systems:
                 The assignment of document management control numbers. The distribution and notification of the associated system documents. Maintenance of the database(s) as the corrective or preventive actions progress. Maintenance of the system metrics and status for tracking, analysis, and reporting of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Records Maintenance: Maintain files for the records associated with, and generated by, the Quality Department in support of the Quality Management System. These records include, but are not limited to, the following items: records of Corrective and Preventive Action, records of document creation, changes, and deletions.

Administrative Support: Prepare documents or other associated media for presentation at Management Review meetings or for other presentations that     report on the Quality System. Accomplish editing, publishing, and distribution support activities of reports and other documents that support the operations of the        Quality Department and the Quality System; e.g., meeting minutes from the ISO 9001 Management Review.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 0-2 year related experience or Associate’s Degree with 0-3 years of related experience such as Business.
  • 3 or more years of experience in Quality
  • Must have a working knowledge of ISO9001/TL9000 quality systems requirements, Quality
  • Knowledge of products and operations preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills required.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel experience required.
  • Previous QC experience preferred.
  • SAP knowledge or any other ERP System
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision
