Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Review the inventory level daily, report the trend, and question the buyer/planner when inventory is unjustifiably increased.
  • It will provide inventory status in its different classifications, for example: excess material, discrepant material, inventory turns, etc.
  • You will be responsible for organizing the planning/purchasing group to generate inventory strategies and to inform them of each individual's progress.
  • You will maintain close communication with the different departments to ensure that inventory reports are trending favorably.
  • Responsible for generating Power Point presentations to explain inventory trends and strategies to reduce inventory.
  • It will check that the reports are updated and are being acted on and if it is necessary to design new reports to ensure an ideal inventory level.
  • Follow up on reports so that the parties involved are aware of the information published and know what their responsibility is.
  • It will require support from the Commodity Manager when it considers that it is necessary to carry out more specialized monitoring of suppliers that are not covering demand and/or rescheduling the previously committed dates.
  • He is responsible for supporting the purchasing team when there are doubts regarding inventory, for example: safety stocks, discrepant inventory, excess inventories, etc.
  • You are responsible for reviewing the exception message report to identify potential sales cancellations, as well as those that have been added.
  • It is responsible for evidencing the inventory generated by blocking material due to obsolescence and supporting its disposal through scrap tickets.
  • He is responsible for managing the E&O report and managing scrap tickets for materials in reserve.
  • Will assist with purchasing training for new buyers
  • It has the authority to shut down any line/machine/activity when unsafe conditions exist or when it suspects it or there is no conformity with the product or the process is identified.
  • Maintain inventory levels according to the metrics indicated
  • This position/function must be responsible for understanding and following the requirements of the Safety, Health and Environment management system, its Policy, applicable standards and procedures.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred Administration field
  • 5 years of experience in similar position
  • More than demonstrated ability in Materials Department / production or planning.
  • Experience in activities on the production floor.
  • English 90% (bilingual)
  • MS Office, Excel advanced
  • SAP
  • Communication: Ability to communicate openly and cordially with all levels of the organization, oriented to customer service and teamwork.
  • Techniques: Negotiation with suppliers, VMI, JIT, Lockers, Inventory Control, Knowledge in Transportation/Logistics.
