Vistance is recruiting an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer to join our team!
This is a hybrid role, and the candidate will be based in Hyderabad, India.
As an IAM Engineer, you will apply security skills to safeguard information, infrastructures, applications, and business processes against cyber threats. The IAM Engineer assists with provisioning, governing access, SSO, directory services, technical integrations and supporting behavioural analytics. In addition, collaborates with all disciplines across the information technology groups and Business Units to provide mentorship and develop plans to integrate information security requirements into Identity and Access Management solutions. The ideal candidate has a technical background and 10 years of experience in technology and security administration across large heterogeneous networks, including third-party entities!
How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
- Serve on a distributed security and technology team responsible for implementing identity controls and settings that align with policies and governance structure.
- Secure access to both on-prem and cloud infrastructure and to applications required to support a distributed remote workforce for employees and external entities.
- Work with security leadership, teammates and stakeholders to evaluate and implement access models that align with organizational risk posture.
- Operate as a technical domain expert and advise project teams regarding integration with IAM technologies such as CyberArk and Azure Entra ID.
- Develop roadmaps, requirements, and architectures across a variety of cybersecurity projects, with a focus on IAM.
- Work closely with incident responders during potential incidents and escalate to management as needed.
- Support IAM governance, policies and solutions across SSO, directory, certificate, MFA, privileged accounts, automation and behavior analytics systems.
- Collect key performance indicators and related operational metrics and track SLAs used to validate success and future improvement areas.
- Document access, policies and exceptions, and participate in security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Provide guidance to IAM operations team and serve as escalation point for resolving operational incidents.
- Frequently interact with the business to understand their plans, risk posture and tolerance, and how IAM supports their vision and business obligations with security in mind.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
- 10 plus years of experience working in an Identity and Access Management (IAM) role/field with experience in core IAM Domains: Identity Governance and Administration, Privileged Access Management, Authentication, Authorization, and Identity Lifecycle Management.
- Strong knowledge of API design concepts, RESTful Services, and modern application interaction patterns.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Azure Entra ID single sign-on (SSO) and MFA, and Microsoft Active Directory.
- Proficiency in IAM protocols and standards (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, API Gateways, and SCIM ).
- Understanding Web technologies, including HTTP/HTTPS, cookies, and session management.
- CyberArk configuration and implementation experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming and scripting languages: Shell scripting, HTML, JavaScript, PowerShell, Perl, Python, etc.
- Comfortable to lead/mentor people.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility in working hours to regularly collaborate with US-based colleagues.

- Experience with ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with Agile Methodologies.
- Ability to understand the impact IT security and technology have on business outcomes
