General Summary

CommScope has an opening for an Application Developer, AI to join our team supporting our business customers. In this role you will participate in the design, development, coding, testing, and support of AI‑enabled application features.

The Application Developer – AI will work closely with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable AI‑enabled solutions. The role requires strong hands‑on development skills, a solid understanding of AI concepts, and the ability to contribute effectively within established enterprise architecture and delivery practices.

Duties & Responsibilities

AI & Application Development

• Develop AI‑enabled features using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Studio/Azure AI Foundry, Prompt Flow, and Python

• Implement AI use cases such as chat, summarization, content extraction, insights, and workflow automation

• Build and integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications through backend services and APIs

• Apply RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) patterns using enterprise data sources such as documents, databases, and APIs

Enterprise & Cloud Integration

• Develop and maintain backend services using modern application frameworks (ASP.NET Core / .NET preferred)

• Integrate AI features into existing web applications and business workflows

• Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, scalability, performance, and reliability

• Follow established development standards, architectural guidelines, and coding best practices

Data & Workflow Enablement

• Prepare and preprocess structured and unstructured data for AI consumption

• Design, test and refine prompts and AI workflows

• Validate AI outputs for accuracy, relevance, and responsible usage

Collaboration & Delivery

• Quick learner, motivated self-starter, team player

• Deliver projects on time and with quality.

• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and functional leads

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies

• Produce technical documentation and support production issues

• Stay current with evolving AI capabilities and apply them where relevant

Master’s in related curriculum such as

3-5 Years of Experience

SKILLS REQUIRED

Must have,

Minimum 3+ years of experience in application development with exposure to AI‑enabled solutions
Strong proficiency in Python for AI / ML and Generative AI workflows, including data preprocessing, experimentation, and orchestration
Hands‑on experience with LLM‑based platforms or AI services

(Like Azure AI Studio, Azure OpenAI, Prompt Flow, and Copilot Studio)

Experience building and integrating REST APIs and backend services
Working knowledge of Azure cloud services, including App Services, Azure Functions, authentication, monitoring, and logging
Experience embedding AI capabilities into enterprise web applications, not limited to standalone notebooks or POCs
Understanding of core AI concepts such as LLMs, embeddings, prompt engineering, and RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation)
Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development methodologies
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently on assigned features, deliver with quality, and support production issues

Nice to have,

Experience implementing RAG solutions using enterprise data sources (SharePoint, documents, databases)
Knowledge of Azure Cognitive Search and vector search concepts
Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and AI integration
SQL or enterprise data integration experience
Exposure to AI governance, security, or responsible AI practices
AI or Azure‑related certifications
Prior experience supporting AI features in production environments
