Job Title : Manager, Project

 

General Summary : The Project Manager, Inventory Optimization is responsible for driving inventory reduction programs through various supply chain efficiency tools and techniques while maintaining optimum service levels. Focuses on targeted opportunities within all business units influencing relevant stakeholders to drive inventory programs through the supply chain to optimize cash flow and increase inventory turns. This role will report to the Director Operations at site level.

 

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for analyzing, identifying, leading, and reporting on key inventory reduction opportunities by BU and location.
  • Collaborates closely with local and global cross functional teams including but not limited to Global Operations, Product Line Management, Finance, Logistics, Procurement, and Planning.
  • Implementation of inventory reduction techniques across all business units. Identify and lead inventory reduction initiatives through supplier stocking agreements, drop ship opportunities, and freight route analysis focusing on batch purchases, forecast accuracy, and supply chain lead times.
  • Create project charter with detail plan, goals and objectives with time schedule.
  • Create both detailed and high-level executive summaries for senior management reviews.
     
     
    Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in related curriculum such as Engineering
     
    Experience : 10+ years of experience in planning, operations, or project management.
     
    Skills Required :
  • Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking communication skills.
  • Influential, collaborative, detail oriented, strategic, analytical, honest.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in SAP / Business Objects and/or similar programs is desirable.
  • Strong data analysis, problem solving, and project management skills, Preferably candidate with certified Black Belt.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and deliver results.
