Title:  Engineer Process

Job Overview

Performs RF/Process engineering assignments demonstrating full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques within the whole product lifecycle. Areas include processes related to manufacturing and testing of passive microwave components (Antennas, Feeds, Waveguide and Cable products), new product introduction and development, continual improvements, automation, data capture and analytics or production transfers. Tasks will also include test equipment definition, test fixtures design, optimization and implementation as well as individual project assignments or projects leadership.

 

You will

  • Uses ingenuity, creativity to devise new approaches and develop solutions to complex problems
  • Contributes to the development of new products, principles, techniques, technologies or procedures
  • Identifies and works to eliminate product and process variation through applications of professional engineering practices and application of Design for Manufacture, Six Sigma, Lean or DOE techniques
  • Designs and plans the sequence and layout for various processes involved in the manufacture, RF testing and measurements of products and is incorporating them manufacturing plants
  • Documents procedures/process related to work assignments including production drawings, tests plans, source controls, drawings, revision updates, maintains document information records in SAP
  • Identifies, designs, procures, develops, improves, maintains, calibrates (externally or internally) and transfers manufacturing engineering tools, strategies and systems
  • Develops and executes product testing and integration plans for new/updated products along with test reports and associated documentation generation
  • Conducts and reviews Prototype, Engineering or Trial Builds, Customer Samples builds, Prototype parts/components inspection (FAI) and tracks part evaluations (FAE) including required documentation or reports creation
  • Evaluates product and test equipment performance using statistical tools and analysis (CPk, Gauge R&R etc.) and defines and executes plans for required improvements
  • Designs and maintains computer databases of products measurements to enable departmental personnel access to measurement results
  • Provides technical resource and support related to test equipment and processes to multi-functional teams dealing with new programs, yield issues, efficiency, process or design improvements, maintenance, purchasing, internal or supplier quality engineering.
  • Provides technical expertise to process engineering team to achieve better understanding of RF design requirements translated into mechanical specifications/parameters
  • Reports on product and process performance capability to project team or management and department employees within the global organization as well as on any other technical related subjects
  • Is involved in Root Cause Analysis in solving internal and external customer complains
  • Participates or leads locally or globally executed projects for costs improvements, operating costs reduction or automation
  • Interacts with management and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines
  • Follows occupational health and safety principles and rules, develops and Maintains 5S standards
  • Performs other tasks and jobs as assigned by the management / supervisor.

 

Who You are

  • Technical understanding on wireless technologies ( i.e GSM, UMTS, CDMA, iDEN, LTE)
  • Experience in RF/Wireless tests equipment, software, test processes and routines and ability to design, develop or improve process and test fixtures (PNAs, Spectrum analyzers, etc.)
  • Ability to optimally work with or lead project teams consisting of departmental and/or cross-functional personnel in global environment
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills with good time management, oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Competent in action oriented and self-development of obtaining and improving required skill set, able to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Experience with Quality Management System, Six Sigma, Statistics, Lean, 5S and other continual costs improvement techniques
  • Ability to work with staff and customers to resolve technical and non-technical issues and respond to inquiries and complaints with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to regularly contact, influence and negotiate with both internal and external individuals on complex issues
  • Ability to guide, channel, facilitate and transfers knowledge of field to other professionals (train, mentor and develop people experience and skills)
  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings, parts lists and work instructions
  • Experience and solid understanding of the principles associated with ‘Design for Manufacture’
  • Experience in new products and changes introduction in manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, Power BI), databases, AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks, plus a programming language such as Visual Basic
  • Experience with SAP system is an advantage
  • Fluent in English
