What to Expect:

RF Engineer is responsible for the development of new designs and cost optimization of the existing product for local manufacture. The candidate must be able to provide real time solutions to design issues discovered in the manufacturing process and recommend/document the resolution. Duties &

Responsibilities –

• Design, development, evaluation and analysis, applying engineering principles for microwave components and/or antenna systems
• Performs component level design and supports initial testing. Develops and executes product procedures for production testing and supports integration plans for new or updated products.
• Demonstrate an innovative, dynamic hands on approach to problem solving and can design through product qualification to manufacture
• Represent the business unit on projects both locally and globally as Technical Leader
• Act as a Key Member/ Technical Leader within a Project team with responsibility for coordinating the work of other personnel involved in design testing and prototype fabrication
• Independently devises new approaches and solutions to solve problems
• Review work at appropriate milestones to ensure that overall objectives are being met
• Test/evaluate competing products and technologies.
• Investigates and solving on prototypes and any issues on current product
• Prepare part specifications. Analyses and evaluates potential vendors and makes recommendations as to the final vendor selection. Work closely with our R&D centers in UK, China, India and USA
• Knows the latest RF/systems development. Researches new technologies.
• Documents procedures/processes related to work for RF production testing.
• Support Sales team and Product Line Management by assisting in the preparation of bids, proposals and Request for Quote for current and potential customers. Develop technical solutions/product designs to serve customer requirements.
• Work to Health, Safety & Environmental and other Standards as Process & Legislation dictates
• Global travel to provide technical support to our production, vendor and customer base

You will Excite us if:

• If you have Preferably 3+ Years of Related Experience in an R&D role designing RF components for antenna systems utilizing RF design software. Providing concepts, prototype design and test, and delivering high volume, cost effective parts with optimal performance for production. RF design of reflector antenna systems and/or waveguide components such as transitions, OMTs and couplers at microwave frequencies
• Have design experience utilizing electromagnetic design software such as CST Studio Suite, HFSS, Quickwave or GRASP
• Have an ability to set up and carry out S-parameter tests on various microwave components using Network Analyzers and creation of test fixtures to support high volume production
• Knowledge of typical manufacturing processes and designing parts to suit. Test support for production
• High Level of communication and interpersonal skills
• Requires the ability to regularly contact, influence and negotiate with both internal and external individuals on complex issues and must be able to respond to inquiries and complaints with tact and diplomacy
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a flexible and willing manner
• Must be able to work on complex projects and assume project leadership responsibility
• Proficient in English- Good verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, creative and can work independently.
• Familiar with working with NPI and operations to move product from development to volume
• Master degree in RF/Telecommunications Engineering is preferred
• Holding patents would be good to have criteria
