CommScope is hiring an Engineer Manufacturing, NPI for an opportunity located in Euless, Texas.



Responsible for the technical new product introduction into the selected manufacturing location(s). Incumbent will define and manage manufacturing process to meet customer requirements. Leads training and troubleshooting activities during NPI phase.



  • In close collaboration with product designer, define manufacturing processes based on test requirements.  
  • Involved as OPS responsible person in the early stage of product development phase: working closely with R&D defines / agrees on critical aspects during Engineering build.
  • Participate with R&D to DFM/A sharing manufacturing experience at early stage of design.
  • Skilled at suggesting possible product optimizations to R&D.
  • Review with R&D prototypes results giving recommendation during DRR.
  • Planning and coordination of new product introduction including pilot runs on production site.
  • Implementing manufacturing processes on site including assembly, startup and training.
  • Leads independently the troubleshooting activity driving the manufacturing facility team.
  • Constantly provide NPI build status to project team, summarizing possible problems and feedback about fixtures / jigs utilized.
  • Deliver manufacturing details, like drawings, videos, troubleshooting guides as well as make sure all related documentation from different department is available for the production site.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes, evaluate and improve in regards of quality, product ability, cost reduction and lead time reduction.
  • Review and agree with manufacturing production lines layouts and process flow.
  • Support production problems and monitor manufacturing process.
  • Automation of product tests with automation tool.
  • Creation of FAE (First Article Evaluation) for Contract Manufacturer as part of the quality assurance of product startups.



  • Completed Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of related experience OR a completed Masters Degree with 2 years of experience
  • High volume manufacturing experience required
  • Knowledge in data analysis and presentation tools such as MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Matlab, JMP, or other similar software tools.
  • Skilled in team collaboration, convincing others and proactive communication
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent command of the English language.   Ability to speak Spanish a plus. 
  • Business travel required within Europe, USA and Mexico.



  • Experienced with contract manufacturing
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent technical degree.
  • ERP Experience
  • DOE, SPC and other statistical tools.
  • Six Sigma, Green Belt, Lean.
  • Experience with product drawings, GD&T, and required software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Background in sheet metal, welding and fabrication.
  • Background in Coating, Paint, Powder paint and galvanizing

  • 10% to 20% domestic and international travel may be required.
