CommScope is hiring a Director, Global Operations – MetroCell for an opportunity located in Euless, Texas. We are also open to hiring for this position in Richardson TX.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Incumbent will be responsible for globally directing and implementing the business units’ operations’ activities, strategies, and objectives to ensure the achievement of business unit and/or organizational goals.   Focus and emphasis for short-term goals are on-time delivery, quality, gross margin and resource planning.  Supports long-term goal formulation, planning and implementation of strategies.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & JOB DUTIES: 

  • Directs the operations functions globally concurrent with:
  1. Business Growth
  2. Introduction of New Products
  3. Meeting division Financial Objectives
  4. Meeting divisional goals in relation to Safety, Quality, and On-Time Delivery of products.
  • Manage and assist in coordinating efforts between support departments within the organization.
  • Assess and assist in continuously developing the talent base within the BU`s operations to achieve growth and meet market needs (i.e. reduced cost, shorter manufacturing/product introduction cycle times and on-time delivery).
  • Conceive, research, plan, target, and control reductions in cost and product lead times on existing and new products.
  • Is a key member of the Operations staff and is a key contributor to:
  1. Overall Planning Process
  2. Establishment and assessment of the division’s annual operating budget
  3. Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals as set forth
  • Coordinate needed support to operations areas through intradepartmental interface for smooth work flow and cost-efficient product.
  • Continuously improve customer satisfaction.
  • Develop, test and implement new manufacturing processes, product and systems technology to meet the BU’s objectives.
  • Participate in the implementation of advanced manufacturing technology to improve cost of sales and promote on-time delivery.
  • Administer and manage the division’s safety and quality to provide an adequate and safe working environment.
  • Where applicable, please refer to the Company’s “Schedule of Authority” to identify approved spending levels.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completed degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s) from an accredited university combined with twelve (12) years operational experience with a minimum of five (5) of those years in manufacturing management.
  • Experience must include progressively more responsibility in the areas of production leadership, operational excellence and total customer satisfaction. 
  • Strong leadership capabilities to deliver results and to build and motivate teams of diverse disciplines.
  • Ability to manage and drive change.  
  • Demonstrates ability to think ahead and execute to ensure success.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong cultural sensitivity to manage relationships with people from all cultures.
  • Excellent decision-making and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and maintain the proper balance between meeting the business needs and managing the available resources.
  • Skilled in team collaboration, convincing others and proactive communication
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent command of the English language.   Ability to speak other languages a plus.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Upto 20% domestic and international business travel required.
