Trade Compliance Analyst

We are looking for an Import Trade Compliance Analyst to join our Team as a part of the Global Trade Compliance Group reporting to the Legal Department.  Our team supports various trade compliance import activities for North America including the U.S. and Canada. This position is US Remote.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World

The Import Trade Compliance professional focuses on supporting CommScope business within the North American region.  Provides industry knowledge on the topics and efficient processes of Post Entry Review, Country of Origin Determination Rules, and Customs Valuation Regulations to accurately and timely respond to requests for information internally and externally.

Examples of Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and Maintain and Post Entry Review process including daily auditing and review of errors identified by 3rd party auditor, facilitate and manage timely custom broker PSCs submissions
  • Provide daily support to customer service, sales, purchasing, manufacturing, and product line management teams to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Monthly review and application of US Import Assists.
  • Monitor ISF for accuracy and timeliness, maintain details for reporting to management.
  • Provide coverage and assistance to other team members during time off or as needed. Could include, but not limited to, Audits, Recordkeeping, Broker Requests, Classification, etc.
  • Develop and/or maintain desk level procedures for your position/function within the Trade Compliance organization.
  • Maintain current knowledge of international import compliance regulations through official publications and formal trainings.
  • Continuously evaluate import activities to develop and implement better compliance practices.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • Knowledge of MS Office especially MS Excel, (Oracle & SAP preferred).
  • Associate degree or one-year experience in technical, business, or international trade compliance.
  • Must be able to perform variety of tasks with minimal direction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with high attention to detail.

  • Self-Starter with attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree or one to three years of experience in technical, business, or international trade compliance.

Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. The expected salary range for this position is $69,700 - $87,100.

 

The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including, medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
