Technician, Test

We are seeking a versatile and proactive Technician to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, high-energy environments and enjoys contributing to innovative projects. The Technician will support a range of activities including network setup, power electronics, structured cabling, and engineering R&D initiatives. This role also involves basic lab upkeep and maintenance including shipping, organizing, and record keeping. This is not a routine role - it requires curiosity, adaptability, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Project
    • Conduct testing of network and power delivery systems
    • Collect, record, analyze, and report test data.
    • Follow testing schedule and provide status in the lab request system.
    • Assist in performing failure analysis.
    • Utilize (and potentially construct) custom computer software used with test equipment to acquire data.
  • Department
    • Willingness to learn about the purpose and function of a variety of test equipment.
    • Participate in test equipment maintenance and validations if required.
    • Complete training on lab processes, procedures and test methods as required.
  • Network Setup & Support
    • Assist in configuring and deploying network hardware and software.
    • Troubleshoot basic connectivity issues and support network testing.
  • Power Electronics
    • Work with power supplies, converters, and related components in lab and field environments.
    • Support testing and validation of power systems.
  • Structured Cabling
    • Install and/or modify structured cabling systems.
    • Execute test plans to verify cabling integrity and performance.
  • Engineering R&D Support
    • Collaborate with engineers on experimental setups, prototype assembly, and data collection.
    • Contribute to documentation and iterative design improvements.
  • Shipping & Logistics
    • Prepare, package, and coordinate shipments of technical equipment and prototypes.
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipping documentation.
