The CCS segment provides innovative fiber optic and copper cable and connectivity solutions for use in data centers and business enterprise, telecommunications, cable television and residential broadband networks.

 

Our CCS Team is hiring for Quality Engineer to join our Team in Claremont, NC.

 

How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

 

The Quality Engineer’s role is to develop and implement a unified approach to Quality in CommScope with the intent to deliver high quality products and services in a manner that meets the high standards held by CommScope. Must be a champion of Quality to both internal and external clients. This position has cross functional accountability and interactions with Product Management, Sales, Risk Management, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Planning, and any other applicable areas, in support of improving overall Quality.

Responsible for the quality systems for one or more Business Units (BU’s) and may have direct accountability for plant systems covering multiple BU’s in region(s) of the world and a number of business processes and will work in a matrix management structure.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • A completed Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related curriculum and 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to develop and implement structured QA processes, procedures and CTQ measures in a rapidly changing global organization.
  • Intimate familiarity with ISO9000/TL9000 Quality Systems with implementation or other applicable professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of basic and advanced Quality tools such as: TQM, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, Poke Yoke, etc.
  • Excellent decision-making and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to lead project teams across departments and/or cross functional personnel located at multiple facilities within North America.
  • Ability to articulate (verbally & in writing), defend and negotiate Quality expectations with internal and external customers at all levels of management.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and maintain the proper balance between meeting the business needs and managing the available resources.
  • Ability to inspire change where required.
  • Experience, preferably obtained within a multi-plant manufacturing environment.
