Due to increase in customer demand, Commscope is hiring Manufacturing Support Team Members in Claremont, NC!


How you'll help us connect the world:

Perform physical manipulation or movement of product or materials, machine operations, forklift operation or other jobs as deemed vital by business demands. Employees of the Manufacturing Support group may perform as a Compak machine operator, Packaging Support Member, or Respool Support Member. Processes may include setting up machines, selecting accurate tools, and verifying documentation for finished goods. Assist with setting up and operating all required support equipment. Unload and accurately identify and store finished reels. The support team member is required to roll and position reels of wire. Positioning requires pushing and pivoting the reels into place within a work station or machine. Team members may be required to load different sized reels per job, depending upon the particular type of cable being run. Once all of the machines are loaded the operator must manually thread the wire through various eyelets and pulleys to complete the action. This requires fine motor and eye hand manipulation skills, reaching vertically from and pushing or pivoting reels. During the performance of the job the team member is responsible for washing and reprinting the cable as needed. Support Team Members also ensure accurate lengths are packaged for shipping to the customer. We want you to take initiative when there is a problem by using your own skills and troubleshooting. Fill out all reports supplying information to needed areas on the product produced. Perform general housekeeping duties around machine areas. Our other departments will have different processes to follow. You will begin training from day one.


Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Read, understand, and follow job instructions
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM on a 4 days on / 4 day off schedule including weekends


You will excite us if you have:

  • Strong mechanical skills
  • 2+ years of Machine Operator experience
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Understands quality metrics and tools to perform quality checks

Anticipated salary range dependent on experience and qualifications starts at $15.26 per hour.
