Title:  Maintenance Manager

What to expect

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to join the LAN Twisted Pair Cable Manufacturing Team in Claremont, NC. The Claremont facility is a 24/7 manufacturing operation which operates on a 4x4 schedule with 12-hour shifts. You will direct and manage all maintenance functions for manufacturing and engineering related activities with overall responsibilities for maintenance team.

You will make an impact by

Planning, leading, and determining the manpower, equipment, and material resources for all maintenance support operations on location. By ensuring a safe work environment for all employees through implementation and maintenance of company advised safety programs, compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements, and promotion of a strong safety culture as we strive for excellence. You will build and maintain an effective Preventative Maintenance program, with the goal of minimizing unplanned downtime, including working with plant operations team to ensure equipment will be available to perform planned tasks. Bringing experience and initiatives directed towards eliminating waste, implementation of Lean tools and processes, driving a continuous improvement culture, and promoting employee engagement throughout the plant. Executing plant policies in a firm, fair and consistent manner. Conduct regular meetings with all employees to ensure good teamwork and cooperation throughout the manufacturing operation and between facilities and functions.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, manufacturing operations, or related field.

7 years varied manufacturing maintenance experience including direct supervision of hourly and salaried employees.

Demonstrated experience in applying Lean tools and practices and driving a strong Lean / Continuous improvement culture.

Must have in-depth training and knowledge of successful preventive maintenance programs

Experience with installing and maintaining automated and robotic systems is preferred

Expert business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business.
