The position is based in Claremont NC with a Monday - Friday schedule. 

 

How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

The Distribution Coordinator is responsible for directing the daily distribution process to maintain optimum customer service and seek continuous improvements in distribution process. More specifically, this includes

  • Planning, creation, scheduling, documentation, and prioritization of shipments; including coordinating with other members of the shipping department to ensure all shipments are properly prepared.
  • Distribution of shipments’ “Picking Lists” to warehouse operations
  • Ensure specific customer requests and instructions are carried out regarding packaging, shipping, and processing customer samples as requested
  • Communication and coordination with external carriers and support warehouse inventory efforts
  • Providing estimated weights and dimensions for freight options
  • Creating reports on shipping activities such as tracking shipments, compiling statistics about shipping volume or rates, etc.
  • Arranging for pickup or delivery of shipments using a variety of methods such as trucking companies, railroads, airlines, or shipping lines
  • Communicating with clients to ensure that they receive their orders on time
  • Entering shipping costs and keep track of them for accounting purposes
  • Maintaining records of inventory levels and cycle counts
  • Analyzes inventory records and SAP information to resolve discrepancies and processes inventory record adjustments per established guidelines
  • Maintaining a database of customer information such as shipping address and contact information

 

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Must have PC skills, working knowledge of Word, Excel, and typing skills.
  • Must have worked with SAP or similar system

  • Shipping/Receiving experience
  • SAP / TM experience
