Title:  Software Engineer Manager - .net

As a Software Engineer Manager at our Catawba, NC facility you will develop, deploy, and maintain world-class systems for testing and other manufacturing systems globally.  You will work closely with other functions, including NPI, R&D, Process, Quality, and Operations to ensure the business needs in manufacturing are being met.  Other supported areas include process/product reporting, continuous improvement activities, training, and documentation.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop world-class solutions that automate product testing and support other critical manufacturing functions
  • Redesign, upgrade, or enhance existing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Report performance information such as yield, scrap, throughput, SPC and OEE, both real-time as well as through other on-demand reporting approaches meeting Industry 4.0 standards
  • Standardize and optimize software and systems to drive continuous improvement activities
  • Develop employees both technically & professionally to succeed



  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field from accredited college
  • 8+ years of experience in software development and database management for manufacturing applications
  • .Net (including C# and/or VB.NET), VB6, and other programming languages
  • Familiarity with .NET WinForms
  • SQL Server and/or Oracle relational database systems experience
  • Experience creating stored procedures (T-SQL and/or PL/SQL)
  • Experience designing web-based, client/server, and distributed (n-tier) software system
  • Excellent problem solving and interpersonal communication skills


  • Working knowledge of RF/optical tools and lab test equipment  
  • Experience in software development and database management for manufacturing applications
  • Knowledge of programming tools such Agilent VEE, NI LabVIEW, and bus technologies such as GPIB, RS-232, and USB
  • Leadership experience
