Title:  Manufacturing Support

Due to increase in customer demand and business growth, CommScope is hiring Manufacturing Support in Catawba, NC!


How you'll help us connect the world:

As a team member of the manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for supporting various areas of the business including machine operation, packaging and respool. Here, you will be encouraged to take initiative and use problem solving skills to troubleshoot. You will be responsible for filling out reports to provide needed product information to all departments.


You will perform physical manipulation or movement of product or materials, machine operations, forklift operation or other jobs as needed. Processes include setting up machines, selecting accurate tools, and verifying documentation for finished goods. Manufacturing support will assist in setting up and running support equipment and unload and accurately identify and store finished reels. 


You will be an essential part in setting up machines by rolling and positioning various sizes of reels of wire, which requires pushing and pivoting the reels into place within a work station or machine. Once the machine is loaded, you will thread the wire through various eyelets and pulleys to complete the action, which required fine motor and eye hand manipulation skills and reaching vertically. During the performance of the job, you will be responsible for washing and reprinting the cable as needed. After completion, Manufacturing support team members, also ensure accurate lengths are packaged for shipping to the customer.


You will receive on the job training from the first day on the job.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Read, understand, and follow job instructions
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM on a 4 days on followed by 4 day off schedule including weekends


You will excite us if you have:

  • Strong mechanical skills
  • 2+ years of Machine Operator experience
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Understands quality metrics and tools to perform quality checks

Anticipated salary range dependent on experience and qualifications starts at $17.33 per hour. Overtime paid after 8 hours in a 12 hour shift.
