Title:  Demand Planning Manager

Due to growth and customer demand, we are recruiting a Demand Planning Manager to join our team in Catawba, NC.

 

Key Responsibilities For This Role Include:

  • Direct the development, execution, and continuous improvement of demand planning strategy
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the policies and procedures, for Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Capacity Planning to align with Global Operations and Business Unit leadership
  • Lead strategic initiatives to improve service, minimize supply chain costs, and optimize working capital
  • Provide logistics and planning leadership to product lifecycle management for assigned business units
  • Collaborate with the Global Operations, Sales and Product Line Management leaders to ensure alignment and execution of activities to achieve objectives
  • Provide senior leadership to establish processes, procedures, and tools related to new business processes
  • Lead strategic initiatives for all planning activities for assigned business units, working closely with planning teams at all manufacturing locations and distribution centers
  • Direct the control processes including measurement of key performance indicators and recommended actions over the supply chain. These include metrics for customer service, supply chain costs, and working capital
  • Develop, direct and support ongoing and new planning technology initiatives
  • Develop and execute talent development plans that include regular performance reviews, leadership identification, and development within the team
  • Managerial/Supervisory Responsibility: Recruit, select, manage and develop employees, if applicable. Make decisions regarding hiring, promotions, salary adjustments, discipline, and any other changes of employee status

  • Lead the standardized cost and service programs through one global strategy at a segment level
  • Facilitate and execute global planning efficiency programs with cross-functional planning teams
  • Report Global Revenue and gaps at segment level
  • Work with IT to execute system efficiency tools
  • Report and measure standard corporate metrics
  • Segment level capacity analysis and reporting
  • Segment level order entry, invoicing, and backlog reporting
  • Segment level Operational metric analysis and reporting
  • Oversee and participate in S&OP
  • Drive resolution to S&OP accuracy issues
  • Segment level Global Inventory reporting
  • Segment level Inventory turn reporting
  • Excess inventory reporting
  • Quality of inventory reporting
  • E&O reporting
  • Service Metrics at a BU level analysis and reporting and issue resolution
  • OTP
  • Lead Time
  • SOC (Sales order commit)
  • VOC (Voice of the customer)
  • Manage Budget

Required Experience:

  • A completed Bachelor’s Degree (or international equivalent) and ten (10) plus years of related experience.
  • Proven ability to drive successful inventory/working capital strategies, lead time responsiveness, and customer service levels
  • In-depth knowledge of end to end Supply Chain
  • Organizational capability to sustain results through systems
