Snr Customs & Trade Compliance Anaylst

We are looking for Senior Customs and Trade Compliance Analyst to join busy our Finance team. You will report to the EMEA Trade Compliance Manager. The role will be based in Bray, Dublin, Ireland on a hybrid basis. The role will be focused on both Customs Compliance and Export Controls. You will be part of dedicated team committed to maintaining the highest standard of Trade compliance. You will identify potential compliance risks and manage opportunities for continuous improvement whilst enabling effective communication. You will co-ordinate efforts between Regional Trade Compliance, Logistics and Customs teams to implement proactive compliance programs.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include

  • Maintain and improve our Internal Compliance programme ( ICP)
  • Ensure timely and accurate application and renewals of export licences
  • Prepare and deliver training on Export controls and Customs Compliance
  • Support and perform internal audits working with our regional Customs and Logistics teams
  • Improve and measure Customs Compliance across the region
  • Conduct operational tasks, including order releases, screening and customs clearances
  • Manage and drive to completion global trade projects, including ERP system implementations to support export compliance
  • Drive automation with documentation retention
  • Work closely with our Regional Trade Compliance team to enhance knowledge sharing

 Requirements:

  • 3-5 YEAR experience of Customs and Trade compliance, ideally within a multinational manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of the Irish Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment ( DETE), with a sound understanding of Dual-Use Regulation 2021/821
  • Strong working knowledge of both EU and UK Customs regulation
  • Experience of working with Customs Brokers

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to shifting demands
  • SAP GTS experience would be an advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team and to interact at all levels in the business
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
  • International travel might be required in this position
