RUCKUS Networks, a CommScope business, is looking to add a Senior Systems Engineer, that will be based in Bogota, Colombia.

How You’ll Help us Connect the World
A technical sales engineer who provides the account team with technical sales support, end user requirements & technology insights – also becoming a Trusted Advisor for the end suer client.
This role is generally a remote home-office based position within our RUCKUS Technical Sales Systems Engineers team.
The position will gravitate around customer focused Account presales engineering tasks and/or a partner particular vertical/channel partners onboarding and evelopment activity.
End customer-focused or technology-focused technical sales; providing high level solutions technical support, enablement, and guidance to partners and important end customers.
Assists, supports and follows the lead from Enterprise, Hospitality and/or Service Providers Account Managers to recommend and develop appropriate customer solution offerings on large opportunities.
Provides architectural perspective across the Ruckus product portfolio and can leverage SE technical specialization within a given vertical for specific opportunities.
As a sales engineer, perform technical demos, proof of concept trials, end user and/or channel knowledge transfer training, and deliver presentations for customers, partners, prospects, and events.
Contribute to peers when required, by sharing good practices, help on-board junior team members and sharing RUCKUS knowledge.
CHANNEL SE ACTIVITIES (CALA): Manage the technical relationships and requirements, for the onboarding and enabllement of existing and new channels and new vericals markets. Assist VAR, Disti and Integrator partners with solution and sales enablement, supporting established campaigns and drive channel excellence.
Must be a self-starter, excellent interpersonal skills, great communicator, with technical acumen, with strong systems technical skills, familiar with industry and business basic knowledge across.
Possess a proven understanding of the competivive landscape, RUCKUS wireless and wired portfolio and related technologies as well as the global technological direction within our industry.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in the identification and development of Opportunities
In partnership with Account manager help driving the development of a territory account plan based on enabling channels and knowledge of local market demand and best solutions in given use cases.
Apply sales methods to determine customer pain points and derive the technical requirements to the creation of a account strategy, solution proposals and plan; proactively generate presales activity through customer meetings, seminars, and education.
Qualify Opportunities
Collaborate with Account manager and partners to define customer business problem in a technical context positioning adequate solutions.
Define solution options and articulate the benefits of a Ruckus solution; recommend qualified partner resource if required
Take the lead on presales technical action items, moving deals through the sales process by knowing how and when to engage the appropriate Ruckus and partner tools and resources (such as SE, PSE, PS, PMs, TMEs etc.)
Refine and research technical requirements of the opportunity, escalate any new requirements to the Product and Engineering teams
Contribute when required, research of potential competitive offerings for the proposed solution.
Develop & Present Solutions
Influence the technical elements in RFP and the different approaches for proposal development
Lead and develop proof of concept, including presentation and documentation of test results. Consult with SED & Sales Account team on proposed plans.
Coordinate account team in developing or oversee development of customer presentation materials
Lead presentation of Ruckus solutions to customer, including white boarding and presentation of technical material
Research and demonstrate solution competitiveness and articulate findings to customer
Coordinate solution development, including leveraging replicable architectures and researching customized solutions
Identify and engage appropriate post-sales support resources
Ensure no post sales time by escalating requests and outstanding questions to appropriate post-sales organization (Partner, TAC, CA)
Document PoC if applicable to multiple customers and share findings with business units and SE Community.
Provide feedback to account team on opportunity performance and request individual feedback.
Required Qualifications for Consideration
• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA minimum) in Electrical, Computer, or Networking Engineering; Computer Programming; Information Technology; Management Information Systems; Computer Science; Mathematics.
• Demonstrated technical competence, competitive knowledge, and consultative skills specific to networking solutions.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the Enterprise Technical Sales.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills – fully bilingual English-Spanish (Portuguese is a plus).
• General knowledge of SE technical skills; working with IP and WLAN technologies; specifically, 802.11 a/g/n/ac/ax, wireless design and assessment, heat map creation, wireless troubleshooting, wireless network optimization, IP routing and switching WAN/LAN design.
• Strong problem-solving skills to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action.
• Ability to support troubleshooting of complex problems.
• Experience in configuration, troubleshooting, Layer 4-7 application services, security authentication methods and products, RADIUS, AD, Virtualization environments/deployments, VM installations, (any of VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V, GCE, Azure, AWS), on-boarding tools such as Cloudpath etc.
• Strong IP networking background in Switching, Routing, Wireless & Secure Access protocols (VLANs, STP, OSPF, RIP, BGP, Multicast, MPLS, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, 802.1x etc.).
• Proficient knowledge of wireless heatmap/site survey tools such as Ekahau, AirMagnet or similar tools.
• Ability to travel up to 50-60% of the time within Territory and region (Latam).
You Will Excite us if you Have:
• Strong technical presales/engineering experiences working with Service Providers in a Sales Through model towards enterprise segments –or-- as a Channel SE onboarding and enabling channel partners in CALA.
• Ruckus product experience or relevant experience in key competitor offerings
• Advanced level networking industry certification like CCIE, BPIPA, JNCIE, PCNSE, Aruba, Ruckus, CWNP etc. are preferred.
