Title:  Engineer III, R&D 1

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Validating LTE/5G protocols, features and call flows as per requirements.
2. Preparation test plans as per requiremetns, customer requirements and 3GPP specs.
3. Preparing lab test setups for end to end feature validation.
4. Execution of test plan in the lab environment and mimic field scenarios in the lab.
5. Reporting bugs and track it for logical closure.
6. Report status to lead/manager with clear status and impact on issues.

SKILLS REQUIRED

1. Experience in LTE 4G, 5G  enodeB/gNB testing.
2. Strong knowledge in 5G and 4G air interface, call processing technologies and network architecture specifically focused on Radio Access Network
3. Hands-on experience in LTE Access stratum protocols (MAC, RRC, RLC, and PDCP)
4. Experience with LTE core system interfaces and protocols such as S1-MME, S1-U, S6a, S11, S5/S8, Rx, NAS, S1-AP, RRC, GTPv2c, GTP-U, SGs-AP is desired
5. Working experience in LTE Mobility, SON, OAM, performance, soak and KPIs validation.
6. Understanding of 3GPP systems: Core and RAN networks
7. Excellent Understanding of 3GPP standards
8. Expertise in creating test plans for system level, subsystem level and feature level testing
9. Experience in LTE UE simulators (Aeroflex,etc) , core network simulators usage.
10. Understanding of Software development and testing Life cycle
11. Good Knowledge in TCP/UDP, IP protocols and understanding of basic OSI model
12. Strong team player and out of the box thinker
13. Good appreciation of software testing engineering principles.
14. Awareness to Agile process.
15. Well versed with debugging tools - QXDM, QCAT, Wireshark, etc.
16. Good log analysis skills to point out problem scenarios.
17. Testing in Unix/Linux environment
18. Automation experience preferred.
