This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an outstanding team of engineers developing products for the leading Cable providers of the world. The Video Systems portfolio includes products that enable Cable and Telco Video Service Providers (VSP’s) to increase efficiency in “legacy” video delivery systems and add multi-screen delivery solutions to grow revenue and compete against OTT video providers. This position will be focused on software verification for ARRIS ME-7000 converged compression platform. 


The Primary Responsibilities Include: 

  • Develop test plans according to product functional specifications.  
  • Develop test automation programs, implement and maintain test frameworks under version controlled repositories (Subversion, Git, Perforce). 
  • Execute software design verification testing, report results into test tracking systems according to planned priorities and delivery commitments in Agile/Scrum environment. 
  • Track down bugs and technical problems into JIRA, work with the design team to ensure timely resolution 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronic Systems Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or related.  
  • Master of Science with specialization on Computer Science, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence is a plus. 
  • 0 -2 years of related experience. 
  • Proficiency in programming languages: C or Python. 
  • Linux fundamentals: command line, editor, shell, bash scripting, file management, networking. 
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills 
  • Bilingual English-Spanish is a Plus


  • Knowledge on the following concepts is a plus:  
  • Video Standards: NTSC, PAL, ATSC 
  • Video compression (MPEG-2, H264/AVC, HEVC) 
  • Adaptive Bitrate Streaming (MPEG-DASH, HLS) 
  • Audio Compression (AAC, AC3, Enhanced AC-3, MP2)
