Position Summary:

 

Responsible for the profitable growth of the Base Station Antenna product line/s.  Strong emphasis on introducing new products to market but also has overall product line management responsibility. Responsibilities include filters market & product line strategy, new product development, costing, pricing, profitability, and marketing.  Position has cross-functional responsibilities working with the Sales organization, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Distribution Channels. Needs to have good understanding of the P&L with a strong emphasis on having strategic capabilities with view on defining and executing go to market strategies for the Base Station Antenna business in Europe. Needs have a good understanding of the RF products market which includes Base Station Antennas & Filters. Has experience with 3G/4G/5G technologies and understands the total RF Path.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Manages the product life cycle. Shared accountability for the product lines P&L, including: revenue attainment, gross margin and operating income. Supports sales and marketing efforts by leading research of market opportunities and competitors with existing product line in assigned markets. Manage and develop sales and marketing presentations where additional technical expertise is required on specific solutions, applications, architectures, or assigned markets.  Responsible for providing expertise and maintaining product evaluations on competitive product offers.
  • Through close contact with target market and OEM & Operator customers, responsible for new product visioning and idea generation.  Attends trade shows, reviews market / trade publications and interfaces with sales workforce.  Attends and supports regular customer meetings in the region with the sales team.
  • Has a technical back ground to have meaningful discussions with the customers on filters and TMAs. Familiar with 3G/4G/5G technologies and understands the RF path and is able to create solutions implementing Filters & TMAs.
  • Participates in 3G/4G/5G Base Station Antenna technology and product roadmap development.  Develops business cases for new product development including financial evaluations (RR, ROI, OPP, Cost), competitive and market analyses, customer needs, critical success factors, sales justifications, and other business case components.  Defines target markets / customers and product positioning.
  • Develops product definition including price, cost and performance objectives, reliability and functional features, manufacturability, and life cycle forecasts.  Identifies and selects sales channels to distribute products to targeted markets / customers.  Develops new production introduction plan.
  • May be responsible for the launch of new products.  Initiates and participates in the development of all marketing collateral material.  Establishes sales promotions and special incentive programs.  Prepares technical databases for proposal generation.  Develops and conducts product, market and application training.  Ensures successful transition to manufacturing.  Supports sales through joint sales calls.  Conducts product review meetings.  Establishes and monitors product introduction budget
  • Monitors profit and loss (P&L), evaluating, recommending and initiating cost reductions, discount analyses and inventory levels.  Develops and evaluates opportunities for new products and / or line extensions.  Identifies new target markets and related strategies. 
  • Will be working closely with other RF Products groups to create market, customer and product strategies-  
  • Create go to market account plans for regions & customers which are measurable.

 

 

Skill Required:

 

  • Experienced in conducting primary and secondary market research, developing market strategies and segmentation, preparing strategic sales forecasts, preparing competitive analysis, positioning and differentiating products in the market, creating collateral and PowerPoint presentations, enthusiastically articulating market plans to customers and senior management, and creating and driving cost effective demand creation programs to achieve pricing and market share objectives;
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to articulate complex concepts to a broad range of internal and external audiences;
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with several types and levels of staff and external contacts, both in writing and verbally;
  • Must have effective presentation skills;
  • Ability to work simultaneously on many priorities, which change frequently;
  • Assertive, persuasive and creative problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and organize cross-functional meetings
