Commscope are hiring a Process Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing & Operations team in Agrate, Italy.  This role will report into the Operations Manager but you will have direct daily contact with multiple teams across the business including Engineering, Sales, NPI and PLM.

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Process Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining of the manufacturing process as well as continual improvements (costs, efficiency, quality) of the operations. You will define, maintain and improve the manufacturing tools, equipment, layout, systems and documents.

This role is critical to ensure our manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and cost-effectively to meet customer demands.

 

Your ability to build a constructive relationship with several supplying parties and communicate in an effective way will be key to thrive in the role.

 

Role & Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure the continuous improvement of all manufacturing processes, with emphasis on quality, productivity, reliability and scrap reduction through process improvements.
  • Analyze the sequence of the various processes and review related layout with regular cadence for line balancing.
  • Improve manufacturing engineering tools, strategies and systems, incorporating inspection and test requirements into production plans.
  • Inspect performance of machinery, equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and setup and assure related maintenance with dedicated plans.
  • Define, maintain and update manufacturing related documentation as well as inspection plans, sets up in-process quality records matrix and actual data capturing.
  • Setting up, maintain and update production systems and related software inputs for manufactured products verification. Is involved in the related hardware and equipment maintenance.
  • Involved in new product introduction, provides input to design team and cooperates on manufacturing equipment/tools capabilities to ensure optimum setup for the production line and efficiency. May be involved with external vendors.
  • Establish assembly routings and labor standard times for new and existing products.

 

You Will Excite Us If You Have

 

  • Bachelors degree in engineering with 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing or production environment with an emphasis on manufacturing processes.
  • Must possess excellent oral, written and presentational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to regularly contact, influence and negotiate with both internal and external individuals on complex issues.
  • Knowledge of process improvement and lean techniques are considered a plus for the recruiting process.
  • Must be able to respond to inquiries and complaints with tact and diplomacy.
