Job Title : Technician, Quality

 

Job Location : Goa 

 

General Summary : Assist Quality Engineer/Quality Manager in developing, maintaining and auditing the operations and support processes and systems that are intended to assure the quality of the products manufactured.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Continuous Improvement: actively contribute to teams in leadership or participant role using one or more methodologies (PDCA, 8D, FMEA) to achieve the objectives of the corporate Quality Policy.
  • Administration: Prepare and publish timely reports describing contributions to business, using suitable formats for communication, supported by knowledge of methods for data collection, mining and analysis. Coordinate periodic test activities, prepare weekly & monthly quality dashboards/weekly reports, coordinate calibration activities with site calibration coordinator.
  • Planning: Prepare an annual plan for area of responsibility that uses SMART Goals; effectively and efficiently manage multiple tasks, projects and responsibilities on a daily basis.
  • Technical Knowledge: Meet or exceed competency levels for primary and back-up work assignments; ensure that backup(s) are capable to do the job in event of absence. Prepare and conduct training sessions addressing relevant issues, with operators, testers, Supervisors, Process Engineers and other perssonel as needed. Understand engineering drawings, conduct quality checks during production run, knowledge of 5S, SPC, CPK, Gage R&R, Process Map, PFMEA, 8D’s. Conduct FA on product according to the quality plan and submit and communicate status to team. Conduct process audits and share findings and discuss Root Cause & CAPA.
  • ISO Quality Management Systems: Have knowledge of the QMS, know areas of system that apply to assigned area of responsibility, keep current authored procedures and create new as needed.
  • Control of Non Conforming Material/Hold Administration: Hold Tag and integrated Material Return Authorization, Material Review Board and Return to Vendor Systems: Plan, organize, document and execute systems in a timely, accurate manner, assuring applicable areas are in compliance with SOX.

 

Qualification & Experience :

  • Diploma or degree in related curiculum such as Engineering with minimum 1 + year experience(Electronics /Mechanical) Preferable 

 

Skills Required :

Include demonstrated competencies and physical, mental & interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills required.
  • Moderate general computer skills required.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel experience required.
  • Microsoft Access and Power Point experience preferred.
  • Statistical knowledge and software experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Previous QC and test equipment experience preferred.
  • Excellent attendance and work record required.
  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Certified Quality Auditor from recognized institute preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of CiC and BiMetals products and operations preferred.
  • Must be oriented with conducting audits and creating reports.
