Data Analyst III, Packaging Compliance

Role Purpose

Create a reliable packaging-compliance data and reporting capability by gathering, validating, reconciling and combining information from multiple internal and external sources. Convert raw packaging data into repeatable customer, distributor and authority-ready outputs, with clear assumptions, source traceability and quality controls, while adapting the data model to new jurisdictions and future requirements.

Core Responsibilities

  • Extract and reconcile packaging data from SAP/BI reports, Excel files, contract manufacturers, suppliers and other approved systems. 
  • Build repeatable datasets and reporting workflows that combine product, material, supplier, market and packaging-component information. 
  • Prepare Declarations of Conformity, reports with packaging weights for EPR reporting, recycled-content summaries, material-reduction progress and design-optimization analyses. 
  • Track emerging packaging regulations with Regulatory and Sustainability teams, translate new obligations into data requirements, and update reporting models and templates. 
  • Perform quality checks, investigate gaps and coordinate corrections across Packaging Engineering, Operations, Procurement, IT and external partners. 
  • Maintain version control, reporting calendars, audit trails and supporting evidence so outputs are reproducible and defensible. 
  • Develop dashboards showing completeness, deadlines, compliance risks, packaging-weight trends and reduction opportunities. 
  • Standardize templates and automate recurring work where practical without compromising control.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Statistics or a related field. 
  • 4+ years of data analysis, BI, reporting or master-data experience in manufacturing, supply chain, product or compliance. 
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, pivot tables, lookups, cleansing and structured models. 
  • Experience with Power BI or a comparable tool; ability to work with SAP-derived data and large, imperfect datasets. 
  • Working knowledge of SQL and data transformation; experience with automation tools for consolidating data, performing quality checks, and streamlining recurring reports is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical judgement, attention to detail, documentation discipline and stakeholder communication. 
  • Professional English and effective collaboration across global teams, suppliers and contract manufacturers.
