Job Title : Technician, EHS


General Summary : Develop and implement EH&S compliance,EHS  improvement programs and systems for the site. Participate in EHS program planning & Implementation activities and provide recommendations for improvement EHS culture at the site.  Complete & update Corporate reporting into Entropy sytem, regulatory compliance reporting and reporting tasks. Provide workforce training related to general industrial safety practices and safety/environmental compliance issues.Coordinate EHS Inspection, Audit, Meeting etc.


Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Participate in L2 & L3 meetings
  • BOP Implementation & Sustenance - TL will facilitate and maintain the records
  • Conduct & corodinate Safety Tool Box Talks in his BU
  • Conduct Safety workplace inspection & report generation of his BU. All the identified concerns to be reported, compiled and completed.
  • Facilitate Training program which includes – Training need identification, Coordination & delivering of safety trainings
  • Conduct Risk Assessment and Aspect Assessment with respect to process and equipment in his BU.
  • Conduct & coordinate Operation Readiness review of new processes/ equipment in his BU.
  • Reporting and investigation of near miss and accidents. Compliance of CAPA.
  • Upkeep of Entropy data w.r.t to safety concerns in the BU.
  • Coordinate EHS Promotional Activities, Wellness program
  • Ensure compliance with Work Permit System
  • Management of Injury and illness
  • Management of Emergency & Evacuation.
  • Participation in EHS Committee Meetings
  • Orientation training of his BU new joinees
  • Implementation of EHS management system through Entropy in concern BU Area 
  • Sustenance of ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 Certification
  • Ensuring Safe PIV and pedestrian movement with discipline
  • Follow-up of Safety Compliance status of BU – Open Tasks and Action Plans
  • Deployment of Corporate EHS requirements and guidelines in his BU
  • Upkeep of area for all EHS related Audit,
  • Facilitate EHS improvement through Kaizen/PIP/ Employees Engagement Activities  



Qualification & Experience:

  • Diploma in Engineering with 7-8 years supervisory experience or
  • Bachelors In Science (Chemistry) or Bachelors in Engineering (B.E.) with at least 4-5 years of experience supervisory role.
    Skills Required :
    Include demonstrated competencies and physical, mental, & interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to complete Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety as per provisions of Factories Act 1948.
  • Understanding of legal requirements from Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers & GSPCB,
  • Understanding of Manufacturing Process, their Hazards and Control
  • Understanding/knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 
  • Should possess good leadership qualities & interpersonal skills
  • Should possess qualities of a good trainer
  • Should be competent to handle emergencies occurring inside the factory
