We are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available Demand Planner for an opportunity located in Richardson, TX.


General Summary:

The Demand Planner is responsible for demand planning within assigned BU/Region. Partner with Operations Management and PLM with the primary goal of balancing the competing objectives of maximizing customer service, minimizing supply chain costs and optimizing working capital.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Execute Global Planning activities by being the focal point of communication with the BU and Operations leaders
  • Design, coordinate and publish periodic reports pertaining to forecast / Inventory and Operations relevant to current business requirements
  • First point of contact for escalations
  • Coordinate Sales & Operations Planning Process in collaboration with PLM, Sales and Operations
  • Work with Operations to ensure capacity levels are managed in support of the master production schedule
  • Facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain standardized operating procedures
  • Manages inventory levels in assigned regions and business units working closely with operations, sales and product line management for supply chain optimization
  • Engage in NPI activities with Engineering / Sales and PLM to support speed to market initiatives
  • Measure, support and develop local entity planners
  • Manage system parameters for entire Product Life Cycle
  • Work closely with procurement and vendors in managing contract manufacturing products where applicable
  • Balance global supply and capacity to provide highest level of customer service and operational efficiency
  • Ability to travel globally


Required Skills:

  • 8 years of related experience required
  • Knowledge of production control systems, specifically SAP required
  • Background in master scheduling, forecasting, procurement and planning
  • Strong communication, team work and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Able to work flexible hours and travel internationally
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and influence personnel of various levels and disciplines
  • Self-starter, high level of personal accountability, and innovative individual


Skills Desired:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or international equivalent) preferred
  • APICS (American Production & Inventory Control) certification preferred. CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Management) and CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certifications are desirable
  • Work experience in the assigned BU/Division desired
