Title:  Director of Global Procurement

Due to growth and customer demand, we are currently recruiting for a Director of Global Procurement to join our team in Richardson, TX.



Responsible for ensuring that the worldwide Procurement strategy is aligned with the BSA Business Unit (BU) strategic requirements.  

Contributes to the planning, development, communication and implementation of the Company’s global BU/Category Procurement activities. 

Responsibilities are considered integral to the success and profitability of the business. Continuous review and analysis of the strategy is required to accommodate changes in market dynamics. Must help formulate strategy, recommend and implement solutions and adjust according to BU demands.

Must be knowledgeable about the aspects of CommScope's business and also of how the supply chain impacts our position. Abstract comparisons and similarities must be netted to develop a coherent plan addressing material and expense purchases. Manages projects, establishes and achieves KPI goals.


  • Drive the global supply chain strategy for supplier spend exceeding $250M.
  • Responsible for leading global cross-functional teams in support of BU/Category Management strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide input to global processes, policies and procedures to enhance the management of the BU/Category spend.
  • Drive BU/Category Management related cost reduction and localization objectives.
  • Provide strategic direction for the Procurement strategy to the sites to enhance the product and market knowledge as it relates to market conditions.
  • Drive efforts to achieve total cost solutions for the complete supply chain.
  • Direct regional Procurement teams as they interface/direct operations of suppliers and contract manufacturers.  
  • Recommend and develop strategy that considers the make vs. buy decision including critical analysis of vertical integration, joint ventures and design changes.
  • Interface with remote general management and senior executives.
  • A completed Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.  MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 years’ experience in procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or related field required.
  • Must have successful and progressive management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills required.
  • Strategic thinking – capable of sharing and driving people towards a vision.
  • Must be skillful at influencing decisions and opinions, negotiating, and building consensus.
  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • Must have strong cultural sensitivity to manage relationships with people from all cultures.
  • Resilience, composure and ability to work under high pressure.
  • Nimble learning – ability to quickly develop products knowledge.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to deliver results and to build and motivate teams of diverse disciplines required.
  • International travel required in this position.
