Manager, Project

 

General Summary:
 

As our new Project Manager, the candidate will organize, lead and motivate global cross functional project teams of up to 15 team members, from project start/business proposal until the product is introduced thus experience in Integrated Product Development of physical (non-consumer) products is preferred. We expect that the candidate has a mechatronics or mechanical development background, preferably combined with quality assurance and structured development methods. The preferred candidate has proven track record and at least 7 years of experience in running medium size to large product development project teams.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:
 

  • Create clear and attainable project objectives based on business case and facilitate team work and cross functional mind-set
  • Manage time, cost and quality, according to business case, and prepare and maintain project schedules with focus on timely completion of new product development
  • Ensure that project/product requirements are defined, met and verified (requirement management), and
  • Utilize project governance models, tools and processes
  • Plan and execute team meetings and workshops according to CommScope Product Development Process (PDP 1.0), and set goals and track/report progress
  • Communicate with customers (mainly internal), management and stakeholders about progress, deviations and deliveries (Milestone meetings and weekly updates)

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can easily translate business needs to technical solutions. On a more personal level, the candidate should bring a lot of energy, drive and passion into the job and the projects, he/she is running.
