Title:  Business Development Manager

Due to growth and customer demand, we are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our team based in Chelmsford, MA.




This is a strategic role that will drive business development activities for CommScope’s innovative, cloud RAN LTE small cell solution, OneCell, in North America. In this capacity, the individual will liaise extensively with the Sales team, System Engineering, Product Line Management, Business Partners, Strategic Partners, Distributors and the End-user to drive demand creation within enterprise market verticals. Additional responsibilities include providing pre-sales support, product line technical training; lead qualification, estimates, preparation of proposals; customer presentations, and joint sales calls. This individual will also help develop organizational strategies through continuously gathering market and competitive intelligence.



  • Provide pre-sales support and product training sessions to customers that include wireless operators, major OEM, strategic partners, system integrators distributors, and enterprises.
  • Work with sales team to identify new business opportunities and jointly form strategies to gain market share.
  • Develop and deliver executive level industry presentations to executives and industry influencers.
  • Coordinate RFI response on large opportunities with the Bid and Proposal team.
  • Work with Product Line Management to conduct market analysis, develop competitive positioning strategies, and define/refine future product releases.
  • Work with Corporate Marketing team and industry partners to develop/coordinate seminars, conference panel speakers, marketing collateral, newsletter articles, and/or conducting facilitated collaboration & ideation sessions.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of CommScope’s LTE small cell vision and strategy



  • Successful track record in Business Development in the North American wireless telecommunications industry.
  • A team player who works well with others, who has strong influencing skills, and is creative and entrepreneurial.
  • Excellent communications skills in verbal, written and presentation forms at senior executive levels.
  • Solid understanding of LTE and the indoor wireless landscape.
  • Good listener with the ability to shape customer thinking.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Energetic and creative with an upbeat, positive attitude.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.



  • Minimum four (4) years cellular wireless industry experience in a business development or equivalent role.
  • Experience with RAN and Small Cell technology, product, and business development.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in IBW space.
  • A completed Bachelor’s degree in technical or business field required. MBA is strongly preferred.
